When the fridge is freezing its contents and always running it is usually the sign of a fault with the thermostat. This is a common issue but the thermostat is complicated to repair, so replacing the component is more suitable.
If odorous water is accumulating at the bottom of the 3106 fridge the drain hole into the evaporator tray may have become blocked with food or debris. Clearing the blockage should solve the problem by allowing the condensation inside the fridge to flow freely into the tray.
A fridge can sometimes become much noisier than usual, and this may be attributed to a faulty compressor, defrost timer or condenser fan motor, in addition to several other components. The part will need to be replaced, with the exception of the condenser fan which may be noisy due to an amassing of debris on the fan blades; cleaning this off may avoid the necessity of a replacement.
